Campfire!

We have some friends that have A LOT of land, and they do campfires every now and then. We were finally able to join them for one, and it was a fun time! Smores and all!

Brady had fun climbing on top of the camper with the "big kids".

As you can see by Ainsley's face, there was also a bag of Cheetos on hand.

Firemen's Parade

After being in Rochester for a year we are starting to figure this place out! We now know that you skip the Webster Memorial Day parade, but the Webster Firemen's Parade is a must see!

While the name sounds "country" the parade was anything but! We saw firetrucks, marching bands, clowns, shriners in mini cars, big bicycles and more! Brady even got to shake the hands of several firefighters. (Dream come true!) This will definitely become an annual event for us.

I love this picture because it captures Brady's excitement!

Here is how Ainsley likes to watch a parade (with an Oreo in each hand).

Helen's 1st Birthday and Grampa's 62nd!

While at Conesus we were able to celebrate Helen's first birthday and Grampa's 62nd birthday! Needless to say there was LOTS of cake, presents and cheer!

Check out Grampa's new red wagon!

Conesus Family Vacation

The week of July 4th, we headed to Conesus Lake (Finger Lake) for a Heimerman family vacation. Despite the fact that we were couped up with family and four kids under 3 years old, we had a GREAT time! ;) Someone said it best when they said "We had a lot of fun, but there was little relaxing." So now Jeff and I are looking to plan a getaway for just the two of us to rest up!

Here are some moments we captured! (You may have to squint to see the fish Henry & Brady caught!)

July 4th!

On July 4th we headed to the Perinton parade! While it was one of the oddest parades Jeff and I have ever attended (there were 15 minutes of politicians and a 'health care for all' rally in the parade), it packed a lot of punch for the kids! They both sat still for the hour long parade, glued to their chairs. While huddled under a blanket because it was COLD, we did see the most firetrucks ever, some bands and the grand finale of John Deere tractors!

Oh Me Oh My Oh Dinosaurs!

Brady recently took his parents to see the show "Walking with Dinosaurs". (Grandma Maria watched Ainsley so she wouldn't get scared.) We started out our night with a trip to Dinosaur Barbeque! Apparently everyone else had the same idea because it was packed, so Brady got to sit with us at the bar. We were glad to see he was a bit wary of the bar crowd.

After dinner, we headed over to the arena to watch the dinosaur show! It was a cool show with really big and loud dinosaurs. Brady's favorite dinos were the Bracchiosauruses because there were two of them, and they were friends. A great time was had by all!

Summertime fun

Summer has officially started, and we celebrated with some sprinkler action and a picnic in the backyard! Bring on the sunshine and fun summer days!

Brady's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated on Brady's real 3rd birthday with more presents, dinner at Red Robin and more cake! Brady got a new "big boy" bike and spent the entire weekend on it! He was extremely excited to ride, ride, ride! He was also quite willing to give Ainsley his old trike and helmet.

We couldn't believe it ourselves, but Brady turned bright red when the Red Robin staff sang Happy Birthday to him. He quickly recovered, and managed to devour his ice cream sundae!

Brady's 3rd Birthday Party!

This past Memorial Day weekend we had a family party for Brady's 3rd birthday! The weather was perfect for a party and we had agreat time! There was pinata whacking, cake eating and present opening! All the makings for a great party.

Brady's family clearly knows what he likes! He got a tool bench, trucks, a playhouse, a Cars backpack, Spiderman umbrella, dinosuars, Crocs, and more! In other words- Toys R us was bought out!

I think Brady's favorite part was picking out his cake. Anytime someone came into the house Brady would ask "Want to see my cake?!".

And to think we have more presents and partying ahead on Brady's actual birthday (May 30th)!

Gramma Sue's Birthday!

Becky, Brady & Ainsley headed to Syracuse to help Gramma Sue celebrate her birthday. (Jeff got a day to play golf and enjoy solitude.) We had a great day going to the zoo with Aunt KK and cousin Henry. We also got to party like rock stars in Gramma's honor!

The present opening event was a bit hectic, but we all made it through unscathed. :)

Miss Thang

Ainsley is really coming into her own now. She's walking all over, talking up a storm and really learning how to "work it". We're all in trouble!

Mother's Day

We all had a wonderful Mother's Day 2009! (Becky especially!) We celebrated with Nana & Papa on Saturday with a delicious steak dinner. On Sunday we celebrated again with Gramma & Grampa, and Grandma Maria & Papa Gene. Jeff put on a spectacular brunch and we even snuck in a few games of pinochle!

Check out this balloon Brady picked out for Becky. It's unforgettable!

Mountain Goat Run

We were in Syracuse to cheer on Moe and Z while they ran the Moutain Goat 10 Miler. They both had a great run, and we were among the best supporters!

Austin Wedding

Jeff and I had escaped to Austin, TX to attend Knittel's wedding (April 25th). Thanks to Nana and Papa for watching the kids for us! (Who had their own fun filled vacation.)

We enjoyed ourselves in Austin, catching up with friends, partying on someone else's dime and seeing the sights! (One sight was thousands of bats that live under the Congress Bridge.)

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Rabasa!

And we're back!

Yes, we've had time lapse of many months, but we are back again! Some things that happened between Feb-April 2009.

- We went to Virginia to meet Gracie (Andy and Eudora's baby), and catch up with friends. It was great to see everyone and be back in VA where the sun shines! We walked by our old house, visited the old playground, went to an indoor water park, hit up a farm and more.

- Ainsley started walking! She's striding around everywhere now, and will be running soon. She's mastered the gallop at the moment.

- Becky's birthday! I got to enjoy a spa day (courtesy of my man and kids) and then capped itoff with a night away! Thanks to Gramma Sue for babysitting!

- Grammy, Jeff's grandma passed away. :( We had a memorial service for her and Papa in Rochester. It was a great celebration of family!

Valentine's Day Massacre

I had the brilliant idea to get Jeff tickets to the Syracuse/Georgetown basketball game as a Chirstmas gift. Of course, I also got myself a ticket because he couldn't go alone. :) So that became our Valentine's treat.

I couldn't have picked a better game! The first half was close the entire way. Then, Cuse came out after halftime on fire! In typical Cuse fashion they lost their big lead towards the end of the game, and we went to OT! We managed to pull out a HUGE win in the end, and everyone went crazy. A spectacular game!

The kids even got in on the action cheering from Gramma and Grampa's house.

Home Improvements

We're finally getting a chance to put some of our own touches on our home! We painted our master bedroom, and added a new TV and stand to the mix. A new fence was also installed around our backyard. Jeff and I aren't fans of the fence because we feel "caged in", but the safety of it for the kids is imperative!

These things have given us the itch to do more now. I want to paint our master bath and guest room, and Jeff wants to buy more electronics! That won't be for awhile, though.

New addition

We welcome a new niece to our family!

Grace Evelyn Miller was born on Feb. 11th, and weighed in at 9lbs 3oz and measured 21 inches! Gracie took her time coming into the world, but proud Mom and Dad (Andy and Eudora) will tell you she was worth the wait!
We can't wait to meet her in March!

Hockey, hockey, hockey!

We took Brady to his first hockey game, and he LOVED it! He was speechless for a good 20 minutes, just taking it all in, which is unheard of!

Brady feasted on chicken tenders, cheeseburger, fries and cotton candy. Then, he caught a t-shirt (which really hit a nice secuirty guard) and the security guard later gave him a hockey puck. He was truly spoiled! (The puck did not leave his hands the rest of the night.)

The next day Brady went to daycare and started to tell his class how the black man hit the white man and the black man had to go home. Fortunately, Jeff was there to translate! What really happened is that a player from the black team got in a fight with a player from the white team. Then, they both had to go to the penalty box for a "time out".

Monkey Cousins

When cousins Henry and Brady get together you never know what will happen. This past weekend we found they had the same monkey PJ's and what a commotion they caused in them!

Ainsley's First Birthday

Completely unbelievable, but Ainsley is now ONE! We had a family celebration for Ainsley the day before her birthday. Ainsley had a grand time, and enjoyed seeing everyone! She took a dainty approach to her cake- eating it bit by bit and even using her spoon. Totally different than Brady's approach on his 1st bday!

On her actual birthday, we just celebrated with the four of us. But we got to eat cake one more time!

While Ainsley isn't close to walking yet, she is getting much better with her standing. She's pulling herself up on things and standing holding on with only one hand. I expect she'll be standing all on her own in a couple weeks, but what do I know? We thought she'd be doing everything early when she sat up at 5 months. One thing we do know is that Ainsley likes to take her time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, little girl!

Birthday doughnut.

Birthday hats with cousins (& Uncle Z).

Winter Fun!

While we haven't been able to enjoy our snowy winter as much as we would like due to frigid temps, we have managed to get in some sledding. One Sunday Brady, Jeff and I went to what I now refer to as "Death Valley" to sled. We thought it was a small, safe sledding hill as it is recommended by the county as a safe sledding zone. Ummm NO! Brady and I went down what we thought was the hill, only to come over the hump, and stare down a GIANT hill with moguls on it! We survived and managed to be laughing at the bottom, but I think we both had our hearts stop at some point. After we saw a kid sprain his ankle, and someone else get mowed down by another sledder, we decided to call it a day!
